They were offered different destinations, which they had to evaluate from 0 to 100 in terms of safety, with 0 being the safest and 100 the most dangerous. The results obtained revealed the following top 5:
- Philippines: 82.31 points.
- Colombia: 79.21 points.
- Mexico: 78.42 points
- India: 77.86 points.
- Russia: 76.65 points.
Despite its attractiveness, the Philippines is considered the most dangerous destination. What is the reason for this trend? The truth is that even the governments of different countries advise travel to this destination with great caution. It is true that, as a tourist destination, it offers numerous areas where tourists mainly meet. But this particularity has given rise to terrible situations. This destination is known for the abnormally high number of murders of tourists, which already generates a more than justified rejection. A clear example is the case of two South Korean who were murdered this year after being assaulted by locals. Another disturbing aspect is the number of tourist kidnappings, as was the case of a group of armed men who kidnapped a tourist. Fortunately, the tourist managed to get out alive and the criminals were arrested by the Philippine authorities.
What about other destinations?
In addition, it is also recommended to avoid this destination because of its usual social unrest, social instability and attacks.In the case of the other destinations on the list, Colombia is generally considered a safe destination, but it is important to be well informed.
