No queues, no delays - this is how the new flight system that promises to eliminate stress and endless queues at airports works

If there is one place that causes above-normal levels of stress, it is airports. Airlines offer premium services and ensure that the passenger experience is as pleasant as possible through aviation innovation. However, none is free from flight delays or cancellations, lost luggage or being touched by a child who keeps kicking the seat during the entire flight. However, there are tricks to organize trips without stress. The earlier you travel, the better. If you have to choose a month, let it be February and day of the week, Tuesday. That’s the equation for a perfect trip; Tuesday in February, first flight in the morning.

HappyorNot

Do you know the terminals with happy faces and sad faces that are usually found in airports? These feedback terminals belong to a Finnish company used to measure customer satisfaction. They are not only found in airports, but thousands of machines make use of this service. Companies such as Lidl, Goodwill, Good2go or DHL among many others have chosen this method to measure the satisfaction of their customers.

These are terminals where you can find a satisfaction interview related to the brand or product in question. The main difficulty encountered when conducting customer satisfaction surveys is to get them read and answered. However, HappyorNot uses a much more intuitive method. With clean, comfortable and easy-to-understand interfaces, it measures the responses of users with happy or sad faces. This gives a much truer result in terms of the client’s feelings and makes it a more enjoyable experience.

Quality survey

Through this method, a survey of more than 51 million passengers at different airports has been carried out. This questionnaire was intended to find out when it was the best time to travel without stress, and which dates and times were the most chosen by travelers.

Stress-free flights

According to the results of the survey conducted in the terminals, it has been determined that the preferred time slot for passengers is from 04:00 am to 08:00 am. There are several reasons for this. By traveling earlier, flights are not delayed or cancelled, with some exceptions. In addition, it also refers to cleaner, quieter, less crowded airport terminals with rested staff. HappyorNot’s CEO, Miika Mäkitalo, stated “Early mornings are still the happiest times to travel”.

What are the preferred dates?

The day most chosen by travelers is Tuesday. According to the survey, it is the most satisfying day, as opposed to Sundays, which tend to be more chaotic. Expedia, the online travel agency, also revealed that Tuesdays are the least busy days at airports. As for the month, passengers prefer February. It has nothing to do with prices, but with being one of the months between Christmas and the summer vacations, making it the quietest month for travel. In contrast, the worst month is August, being the high season of the summer vacations.

Anti-stress flight guide

If one of the things you value most when organizing your trips is peace of mind, here is the guide you should follow to guarantee a relaxed trip.

  • Choose the month of February, since it is the quietest.
  • Preferably fly on a Tuesday.
  • Choose the first flights, from 04:00-08:00 am.

If you want to avoid chaos, delays or cancellations, you should avoid traveling in August, on Sundays and above all, avoid night flights (which are the most likely to be delayed or cancelled). The reliability of this guide is supported by the thousands of responses to the HappyorNot survey. 50,000 passengers can’t be wrong, can they?
